Procrastination, part 1. (most likely to be continued)

Recently, I posted a Facebook status that simply said thus: “I used to think that procrastination was my friend but now I just see that it was using me to achieve its own selfish ends”. Insightful no? Ever since, I have carried that little gem of wisdom around as my banner in the march for mental focus and clarity. If their is one thing in my life that needs to be eradicated but most likely never will, it is my unfailing ability to procrastinate the moment I decide to do something useful. For all I know, this blog post is probably doing just that (in fact, I’m sure it is). I need to vent anyway. Stay tuned for highly probable updates on procrastination and my eternal struggle to kill it. Venting on unrelated but endlessly fascinating subjects below…

So, I have some new music which I am thoroughly enjoying! It is the new Regina Spektor and not so new (but new for me) Imogen Heap albums. For any of you who have never heard of these artists, shame on you. These two women are amazing! Both of them are different and both of them are alternative non-mainstream artists (don’t quote me, I’m probably not very up-with-the-times). Anyway, my favourite song from Regina’s album (Far) is “Dance Anthem of the 80′s” and my favourite song from Imogen’s album (Ellipse) is “Aha!”. Love it now or forever hold your ears in shame!

I must also add that I have no communication with the world at the moment because I am remaining celibate from Facebook and my phone’s SIM card is being switched so I have no way of receiving text messages or phone calls (and no credit to return them or check voice-mail). Email is basically my only form of communication apart from the good ol’ fashioned postal service and the home phone. On the brighter and entirely unrelated side, I have put in an application for a debit Visa card (YAY! Finally! One of the only perks of being over 18) so that I can now buy things online and not have to ask my parents for a lend of their card…I wonder if Mum ever found out that I bought those movie tickets with Dad’s card…

  • Lol, that’s what I’m doing right now! (procrastinating). The internet is so evil like that…

At work, I’ve been storyboarding, and I actually have to leave the building to get my work done sucessfully (mind you, this is partly because the OUTSIDE is so attractive and real and sunny…
